Stephen Barnes is the Co-Founder of EcoMina and a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience across biotechnology, financial analysis, regulatory technology, and ESG strategy. He has held leadership positions at Genentech, Schering-Plough, and TaxCloud, where he helped grow the company from startup to over $5 million in annual revenue and guided it through a successful private equity acquisition. He also founded and led a private school in the United States, which was later acquired by a private investor in a seven-figure transaction.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Stephen holds a BA (University of Arizona), an MBA (Arizona State University), and a Professional Certificate in Data Engineering from MIT. He brings a rare combination of technical expertise, commercial strategy, and international business insight to EcoMina’s mission of helping companies navigate ESG compliance and sustainability reporting.
